Pad Works ("we", "us") operates the website padworks.io and sells audio plugins for macOS. This policy explains what data is collected when you visit the site or buy our products, and what your rights are.
Pad Works is operated by Martín Campos, operating as Pad Works, a natural person based in Santiago, Chile.
1. The short version
- The padworks.io website is a static site. It runs no analytics scripts, no tracking pixels, no advertising trackers, and sets no cookies of its own.
- We do not see or store your payment details — ever. Purchases are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record (see §3).
- The only personal data we ourselves end up holding is what you send us by email, plus whatever Lemon Squeezy shares with us about your order (name, email, products purchased) so we can provide support and license services.
2. Data collected by the website itself
Hosting logs. padworks.io is hosted on Vercel. Like virtually all web hosts, Vercel may log standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and operations. We do not use these logs to identify visitors. Vercel's own privacy policy applies to its infrastructure: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
Analytics. None. As of the effective date, padworks.io includes no analytics or measurement scripts. If that ever changes, this section will be updated before any such script goes live.
Cookies. The site sets no cookies. Third-party services you reach from the site (Lemon Squeezy checkout, GitHub) may set their own — see §3 and §4.
3. Purchases — Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record
All checkout, payment processing, invoicing, sales tax/VAT handling, and refund execution are performed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC acting as Merchant of Record. When you buy a Pad Works product, you are transacting with Lemon Squeezy; they collect and process your payment and billing data under their own terms and privacy policy:
- Privacy: lemonsqueezy.com/privacy
- Terms: lemonsqueezy.com/terms
Lemon Squeezy shares with us the order information needed to deliver and support the product: your name, email address, the products purchased, and license key data. We use this only to deliver downloads, issue and validate license keys, provide support, and comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell or rent this data to anyone.
4. Free downloads via GitHub
Some free products (e.g. PUNCH) are delivered as a redirect from padworks.io to a file hosted on GitHub Releases (github.com/MARTINMRVS/padworks-releases). When you download, your request is served by GitHub, which logs it under its own privacy policy: docs.github.com/en/site-policy/privacy-policies. We receive no personal data from these downloads; GitHub shows us only aggregate download counts.
5. Email
If you write to us at the contact address below, we keep the correspondence in our mailbox for as long as needed to handle your request and for support history.
6. Mailing list (not yet active)
We do not currently operate a newsletter or mailing list. If we launch one, it will be strictly opt-in, with an unsubscribe link in every email, and this policy will be updated first.
7. The plugins themselves
Pad Works plugins run entirely on your computer. They do not include analytics, telemetry, or "phone home" behavior. Current versions perform no online license validation: no audio, project data, or usage data ever leaves your machine. If a future version adds license activation, it will be limited to exchanging your license key with Lemon Squeezy's License API, and this section will be updated before that version ships.
8. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Wherever you live, we apply the same baseline:
- Access — ask us what personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate data.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your data (note: order and invoice records are held by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record; deletion requests concerning payment/billing records should go to Lemon Squeezy, and we will point you there).
- Portability — ask for a copy of the data you gave us.
- Objection / restriction — object to or restrict processing.
- No sale of personal data — we do not sell personal information (CCPA: we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA).
To exercise any of these rights, email us (see §10). We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
9. Data retention and security
We keep order-related data for as long as required to provide license services and meet legal obligations. Email correspondence is kept for support history. We use reasonable technical measures to protect the data we hold; no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. Contact
Privacy requests: padworksaudio@gmail.com
11. Jurisdiction and changes
Pad Works operates from Chile, and this policy is governed by Chilean law (Ley 19.628 on protection of private life, as applicable), without prejudice to protections that apply to you under your local law (GDPR, CCPA). We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date above will change when we do, and material changes will be noted on the site.
